Webster Technique Certified
The Webster Technique is named after Larry Webster who developed a detailed chiropractic examination and adjustment which allows a chiropractor to create pelvis balance and help the baby get into the right position to prepare for birth and so the labor and delivery is as easy and safe as possible on the mother and baby. This is important because when the pelvis is out of alignment, it may lessen the amount of room the baby has for development.
Dr. Chad is certified and fully believes in the Webster Technique and how it can help women during their pregnancy. To be Webster certified, chiropractors undergo training to understand and work specifically with pregnancy and pelvis balance.
Around 4% of all pregnancies have a breech presentation; however, Dr. Chad has an 85% success rate of positioning the baby correctly.
All chiropractors are trained to work with pregnant women; however, not all chiropractors are certified in the Webster Technique, like Dr. Chad. Receiving routine chiropractic care from the beginning of pregnancy to birth is important to maintain the normal physical functions of not just the mother, but also the baby.
Dr. Chad’s approach to prenatal chiropractic care is two-sided because he not only looks at the biomechanical side of health but also the neurological.
Structurally, when pregnant, a woman’s pelvis can twist and make the birthing process much harder and more painful than it needs to be. To experience a successful birthing process, all joints in the pelvis need to be working properly, and chiropractic care can help re-establish pelvic balance and alignment.
The neurological side of our approach addresses how an expectant mother’s body will respond to stress.
Preparing For Birth
Many different physical and endocrinological changes happen to a woman’s body when preparing for the development and birth of a baby. Due to the changes that happen to a woman’s body, the following issues may begin to arise:
Low Back Pain
Synthesis Pubis Dysfunction
Upper Back Pain
One of the most vital times in a woman’s life to receive chiropractic care is throughout her pregnancy. In fact, the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA) advocate for women to receive routine chiropractic care throughout the entire pregnancy to establish and maintain a pelvic balance and to ensure the baby has room to properly develop throughout the pregnancy.
Chiropractic care will not only make sure the pelvic balance is correct, but help the baby have the necessary room for development, but will also provide these many benefits:
– Relief from back, neck or joint pain
– Maintaining a healthier pregnancy
– Control symptoms of nausea
– Reduce time of labor and delivery
– Prevent a potential C-section during delivery
The best decision you can make while pregnant is to receive chiropractic care, and Dr. Chad is extremely passionate about prenatal chiropractic.
